Treatment Basics

What are Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs)?
MSCs are multipotent stem cells that can differentiate into various cell types (bone, cartilage, muscle). We primarily use Umbilical Cord MSCs due to their youth, high potency, and lack of immune rejection.
How does the treatment works?
Stem cells seek out inflammation in the body. Once injected (intravenously or locally), they migrate to damaged tissues, release growth factors, and signal your body's own repair mechanisms to regenerate the area.
Is the procedure painful?
Most patients report minimal discomfort. Local injections (like knees) use numbing agents. IV infusions are painless. The entire process is non-surgical.

Safety & Regulation

Are stem cells legal in Thailand?
Yes. Thailand has established regulatory frameworks for cell therapy. We partner with JCI-accredited hospitals that adhere to strict international standards matched to US/EU protocols.
What is the risk of rejection?
We use Allogeneic Umbilical Cord MSCs which are 'immune-privileged', meaning they lack the markers that trigger immune system attack. Rejection is extremely rare.

Cost & Logistics

How much does it cost?
Treatements range from $5,000 to $15,000 depending on the protocol (cell count, administration method). This is typically 60-80% less than comparable (often unapproved) treatments in the US.
Does insurance cover this?
Generally, no. Stem cell therapy is considered experimental by most US insurance providers. However, the total cost including travel is often lower than the copay/deductible for major surgery.
